[ INTRODUCTION / OVERVIEW ] Welcome to the Bay Area AirSoft Hobbyists (B.A.A.S.H.) web site. BAASH is a private club of airsoft enthusiasts that originally started in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Over the years, our membership has spread from Northern California to include members currently living in the Pacific Northwest as well as in Nevada. BAASH members come from a variety of professional occupations currently ranging from Civil Engineering to Computer Hardware/Software Development to Medicine to Law Enforcement. To enhance our professional occupations, BAASH members also have varying personal backgrounds in higher eduction, military experience, and other general life experiences. BAASH events are based on the application of "small-unit" style military tactics modified for airsoft play. The focus of our activities centers on full-immersion scenario games simulating conditions, situations, and tactics which are widely known to be employed by real-world Special Operations teams worldwide. Through our events, BAASH members are encouraged to sharpen both leadership and team-building skills, as well as to develop confidence and responsibility, for application in both airsoft activities and professional lives. BAASH members also enjoy the benefit of lasting friendships and comradery of like-minded airsoft enthusiasts in a private and secure environment. As the name signifies, we are hobbyists. BAASH is not a tournament-oriented "team" and does not conduct events or games in order to train to compete against other airsoft groups. BAASH is also not a para-military group or a collection of military "wanna-bes", as many of our members have "been there and done that" in our past. We are, however, an organization that is dedicated to the support of responsible and lawful advancement of airsoft as a form of recreation and team-building. Finally, BAASH wants to serve as a resource for all airsoft enthusiasts. The purpose of this website is to serve as a resource for airsoft players seeking advice or help. We welcome inquiries and comments focusing on how to set up a viable airsoft club, how to put together playable scenarios, and how to correctly - and safely - play with airsoft equipment.
